Playing tourist

This past weekend, Brian and I headed up to Estes Park with a few of our neighbors. We have been blessed with living in a neighborhood full of really cool people whom we hang out with as much as possible. We took two other couples along and the boys had a great time trying to catch fish. The girls slept in, and chatted on the porch drinking Mimosas. Each night we hung out in one of the giant hot tubs. They were so big you could easily have a belly flop contest. No really, and I would've come in first if it weren't for Brian. For a skinny kid he sure does manage to displace a lot of water!! On the second night we actually got the group that we joined to participate...surprise, surprise!

On Saturday we played tourist and took the group horseback riding. I love horses so I was thrilled that this was something everyone wanted to do. We rode all around the mountains and even up into Rocky Mountain National Park a bit. It was absolutely beautiful. Everyone had a lot of fun and took many, many pictures!
Brian shows off his horse riding skills.
My beautiful steed at the end of the ride.
Everyone took turns making delicious meals (none of which included fish) and we played a very exciting game of Bocce. It was such a great time. Maybe we should make this an annual trip!Gotta love Bocce!!Our nightly visitor trying to sleep the day away.
